Vanessa Brady, President, Society of British Interior Design (SBID)

Vanessa Brady

Vanessa Brady is an award winning Interior Designer and Business Design Consultant. Through running her own successful construction company and over twenty five years in the sector, she is able to offer a wealth of experience in procurement, post analysis, and consultancy advice to clients.

Vanessa is also the founder and President of the Society of British Interior Design (SBID), the largest professional membership organisation in Europe. She is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) and professional member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA)

Phil Coffey, Director, Coffey Architecture

Phil Coffey Architects Ltd. was set up by Director Phil Coffey in 2005 in order to pursue his passion for place, architecture and design.

 

Gerry Graville, Managing Director, Willmott Dixon Interiors

Gerry Gerry Graville has worked in the property industry for over 20 years, originally qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor he started his career as a cost consultant for EC Harris. He then moved client side for Tesco in their property team before pursuing a career in the interiors sector with Morgan Lovell. Gerry moved to Maris Interiors in 1997 and progressed to become a regional Managing Director for them in 2000. In 2002 he was approached by Willmott Dixon and was given the responsibility to set up a turnkey interior design and fit out business which was branded InSpace. After successfully developing this business his remit expanded to become Managing Director of Willmott Dixon Interiors which covers both turnkey and the wider traditional interiors markets and is expected to turnover £55M this year.

Scott Lawrie, Director, All Design

Image of Scott Lawrie Scott formed All Design with Will Alsop in 2011. In his previous roles, which included senior positions with RMJM, PRP, John McAslan & Partners and Foster + Partners, he gained significant experience in the design and delivery of landmark projects throughout the world, specialising in high density mixed use, residential and commercial projects both in the form of new build and listed buildings.

Felix Mara is Editor of AJ Specification and Technical Editor of the Architects Journal.

Felix studied architecture and classics at Oxford Brookes University, University of Manchester, The Bartlett and Birkbeck College.

Sam Stacey, Head of Innovation, Skanska

Sam Stacey Sam Stacey is Skanska UK’s Head of Innovation. He is responsible for managing innovation and R&D in line with Skanska’s strategic targets. Sam obtained chartership as a Structural Engineer working for Buro Happold. He has an MBA from Henley Business School and degrees in Civil Engineering and Architecture from Imperial College and Cambridge University. He has over 20 years experience managing design and innovation in construction.

 

Philip Watts, Principal, Philip Watts Design

phillip watts Philip Watts is the lead creative at Philip Watts Design a design consultancy he has owned since 1994. The company's unique perspective stems from a broad design philosophy that includes product, furniture and interior design.
From their Nottingham HQ they design and manufacture over 200 of their own products as well as designing restaurant interiors for high streets in the UK and US as diverse in nature as Yo!Sushi and Greggs The Bakers.
