New dates announced for Surface Design Show

8 - 10 Feb 2022 London
Business Design Centre
Surface Design Show, the UK’s leading event for architects and designers to explore the best in surface material innovation, will not be taking place in February 2021 the organisers announced today.
New dates, 8-10 February 2022 in the Business Design Centre, London have been announced to bring everyone back together at this popular and well supported event in just 16 months' time.
“We are hugely disappointed for both our exhibitors and visitors that next year’s show will not take place due to circumstances completely beyond our control,” said event director Christopher Newton.
“Over the last months we have worked hard with our industry colleagues to create an event that we felt could be held both successfully and safely. Our venue, the Business Design Centre, even held a prototype event to reassure Government that we could work within their guidelines for holding trade shows.
Unfortunately the recent spike in COVID-19 cases in the UK has forced Government to delay the re-opening of trade shows.”
More than 160 companies participate every year at Surface Design Show to meet and do business with more than 5000 architects and interior designers.
"We were looking forward to exhibiting at Surface Design Show next February, but fully understand the organiser's decision to announce new dates. We will be looking at options for the 2022 show as soon as they are available." said Daniel Nevitt, Group Marketing Director, Armourcoat
The annual Surface Design Awards will not be affected by this announcement. More than 100 projects have been entered for the 2021 Awards with the first step of judging taking place at the end of October and the finalists being announced in early November. The Awards presentation will take place in February 2021.
