Green Grads Workshop: Weave a Mini-Artwork With Textile Waste
Every year, the world produces 92 million tonnes of textile waste. It’s an eco disaster. Putting this in the spotlight is GREEN GRAD designer/artist Claire Malley. For this workshop, she is bringing card looms and a stash of denim offcuts, recycled textiles and yarns. You will consider how waste fabrics can become art for interior spaces – and see what you can weave yourself, exploring scale, colour and texture. Beginners welcome. Come and unwind, enjoy the mindful flow of weaving, and take home a special treasure. Claire will be assisted by GREEN GRAD artist/weaver Martha Lawton. Find Claire and Martha on the GREEN GRADS stand in the Innovation Gallery.
