Applelec Interiors Launches Integrated Illuminated Surface Solutions
LumiStone from Applelec Interiors
Applelec Interiors, the newly launched interiors division of the Applelec Group, is making its debut at Surface Design Show 2026 with the introduction of three fully integrated illuminated surface ranges: LumiStone, LumiSorb and Parametric Walls.

Created to bridge the gap between decorative materials and illumination, Applelec Interiors offers designers a fundamentally different approach to specification. Rather than treating lighting as an add-on, each solution is engineered as a complete system, where material, form and light are considered together from the outset. Backed by almost 30 years of specialist backlighting expertise, Applelec Interiors delivers consistent, reliable illumination designed to perform at architectural scale.

The launch portfolio includes LumiStone, developed in collaboration with Litehouse, a collection of illuminated stone-effect panels that replicate the depth and translucency of marble and onyx through precision printing and bespoke backlighting. LumiSorb, designed in partnership with acou.space, combines acoustic performance with integrated illumination, softening sound while creating warm, ambient interior environments. Parametric Walls, designed by world-renowned designer Mario Romano of M|R Walls and manufactured from architectural-grade Corian® Solid Surface, transform walls into sculptural features enhanced through carefully engineered illumination.

Collaboration sits at the heart of Applelec Interiors. Working alongside leading designers and material specialists — including Litehouse, acou.space, M|R Walls and CDUK — Applelec Interiors acts as the integrator, bringing together design intent, architectural materials and bespoke light engines into a single, specification-ready solution.

Sustainability is embedded across the range, with products designed for long-term performance, low energy consumption and responsible end-of-life planning. Highly energy-efficient illumination options are available, including Grade A and DC-approved LEDs, with Applelec LED Light Sheet solutions achieving an excellent TM66 circularity rating of 2.7. Many components also qualify for the Applelec Recycling Scheme, supporting refurbishment, reuse and material recovery.

Manufactured in the UK, Applelec Interiors provides designers with confidence that performance, safety, sustainability and visual impact have been resolved as one — delivering decorative illuminated wall panels that are as technically robust as they are visually striking.
