Colour doesn’t need to shout and this new collection, Bloom by Mundy Veneer, features natural wood veneers in soft, full shades to create a gentle, characterful statement of contemporary design.

This combination of colour sees pastels come of age in sophisticated, richer hues with energetic pattern thrown in for an all-round fun and uplifting palette.

Designed to stand alone or work together, to be both backdrop or accent, the effect is eclectic and suggests casually thrown-together curation - although it is anything but. Achieving this clever visual dissonance is very much orchestrated. Each colour and its role in any scheme is the result of skilful placement.

Contemporary marquetry artist, Carl Fox has been commissioned to create a stunning bespoke marquetry panel showcasing the Bloom Collection which will be on display along with our wider range on our stand at Surface Design 2026.

Each of the veneers in the collection are from the Tabu Italy range of innovative dyed veneers, natural woods in species such as Sycamore, Bolivar, Birch and Birds Eye Maple each with their distinctive grain and growth characteristics, along with a consistent, through-dyed colour depth. Beyond beauty, these veneers, unlike their undyed natural counterparts, have superior colour reliability with only a 0.2% variance between batches making them a clear choice for larger scale applications. The dyes and pigments are water-based and colourfast, and the veneer can be sanded without losing colour.

Also featured in the range are a selection of Tabu engineered veneers. Created entirely from natural wood, these veneers not only offer pattern and texture, but are also available in standard sheet sizes allowing for more practical implementation.
