Introducing ECOsurfaces: Design-led flooring that delivers on performance
Ecore
is already widely specified in performance-led spaces internationally, its
unique combination of rubber performance bases and refined surface layers delivering
tangible benefits in commercial interiors, from reduced noise and vibration to
energy restitution for enhanced user comfort.
The
launch of ECOsurfaces takes it a step further, combining Ecore’s
precision engineering with exceptional aesthetics to offer architects and
designers a new option for commercial projects where design, comfort and
performance must work in harmony.
“ECOsurfaces’
extensive palette of colours, textures and finishes gives architects and
designers unparalleled scope to bring their visions to life, creating truly
distinctive spaces without any compromise in technical performance or user
experience,” said John Halls, Physical managing director.
“This
is Ecore’s most design-focused range to date, developed to meet the creative
expectations of architects and designers while embedding superior performance,
durability, comfort and acoustic control directly into the structure of the
floor.”
Sustainability
is also fundamental to the ECOsurfaces proposition, with Ecore reclaiming and
upcycling waste streams across all its manufacturing processes – particularly
rubber, where 430 million pounds (195 million kilos) is reclaimed every year.
Bo
Barber, CGO at Ecore, confirmed: “ECOsurfaces enhances the experience of those who occupy
a space while supporting the creative ambition of those who shape it and
helping protect our planet at the same time. This is sustainable luxury, created
for designers, by designers.”
He
added: “We are delighted to bring ECOsurfaces to the UK, Ireland and Channel Islands in
partnership with Physical, ensuring architects and designers have access not
only to the market-leading technology and aesthetics of this portfolio, but
also to Physical’s specialist technical guidance, specification support and delivery
capability.”
Physical
will be exhibiting at the Surfaces
Design Show in London on
3–5 February, offering architects and designers the opportunity to explore ECOsurfaces first-hand and discuss specification
opportunities across a wide range of commercial projects – from hotels and
hospitality spaces to educational environments, hospitals, workplaces, gyms,
wellness facilities and more.
ECOsurfaces has already been installed throughout the
new JHT European Training Centre and
Showroom in Reading, just 45 minutes from central
London, 30 minutes from Heathrow airport, close to Reading train station and
minutes from the M4. It is open
to architects, designers and consultants wishing to see, feel and experience
the flooring first‑hand.
