Kava Surfaces
KAVA SURFACES is a unique brand of eco-friendly, multi-use, interior surfaces based near Brighton, UK. These unique surfaces are created from a blend of used coffee grounds, organic waste fibres and bio binders.
In the UK, over 250,000 tonnes of waste coffee grounds are sent to landfill every year. Kava Surfaces intercept some of this locally, and other organic waste fibre, turning it into recyclable, unique, sustainable surfaces. This is the solution to a shortage of genuinely eco-friendly, sustainable surfaces.
These fibres are combined with natural binders via an innovative low energy process and applied to Eco-board, FSC chipwood or plywood, finally producing an eco-surface that is both beautiful and versatile in both domestic and commercial settings.
All materials are sourced locally and much of it from waste.
All substrates are either Eco-boards or FSC certified.
Production and pressing of all products is achieved through an innovative low heat process, ensuring minimum energy requirement throughout its creation.
KAVA SURFACES aims to repurpose every piece ever created by them.
