In the late 1970s, Stefano Madrigali dedicated himself to sourcing the most beautiful and exclusive granites in the world. Guided by a deep understanding of raw materials and quarrying techniques, he traveled across five continents before focusing on Brazil and Sri Lanka. Thanks to a strong commercial network built around block trading, Brazilian granites such as Verde Maritaca, Verde Panama, Juparana Classico and Azul Bahia were introduced to Europe and later distributed worldwide.

By the mid-1980s, Yellow Stone had become the leading importer and distributor of Sri Lankan granite blocks. Unique materials such as Colonial Dream, White Andromeda and Green Lanka were selected for prestigious international architectural projects, strengthening the company’s global reputation.

At the beginning of the 2000s, Geronimo joined his father Stefano, marking the start of a new phase of development. Alongside quarrying, sourcing and international trade, the company expanded into the production of marble tiles and bespoke cut-to-size projects. This evolution was enriched by the introduction of iconic Italian and Apuan marbles such as Bianco Carrara, Arabescato, Calacatta and Statuario — symbols of timeless elegance and Italian craftsmanship.
