What are you looking forward to most about being part of the judging panel for the Surface Design 
Awards? 

I am very much looking forward to being part of the judging panel as it brings together a broad range of creatives from different backgrounds.

What are you personally looking for in terms of entries? 
I am looking for design innovation and excellence which often comes through having a different approach to familiar problems.

What advice would you give to those looking to submit a successful award? 
My best advice is to communicate clearly and with engagement.

Why are these awards so important to architects and designers? 
These awards hold significant value as they symbolize recognition within the A & D industry, highlighting the creativity and innovation that drives our field.

What are some emerging trends in materials and surfaces you've noticed? 
One of the trends that I have noticed recently is the wide use of metals in a range of polished, matt, and blasted finishes for surfaces, interiors, and furniture.

Sustainability is a talking point in every project, what is your experience of successfully delivering sustainable solutions in what you do? 
Sustainability is crucial for responsible and intelligent work, ensuring longevity beyond just environmental factors. Collaborating with clients who prioritize sustainability truly enhances project delivery.

The theme of Creative Conscious emphasizes the importance of being mindful of the outcomes and impact when selecting materials and methods for designing spaces
