Laura Perryman is a colour and materials designer, trend forecaster and author with more than 18 years of experience in CMF (Colour, Material and Finish) design. She leads Colour of Saying, a London-based research and consultancy studio exploring how colour and materials can create meaningful experiences while supporting more responsible and sustainable design practices.

Her work spans colour forecasting, CMF strategy, materials research and consultancy across industries including interiors, architecture, technology, product design, packaging and paint. Her approach brings together colour psychology, sustainability and wellbeing, examining colour not simply as an aesthetic choice but as a powerful tool for shaping how people experience products and spaces.

Laura is the author of The Colour Bible and The Rainbow Home and regularly lectures and speaks on colour and material design. Her work combines research, cultural insight and material innovation to encourage more purposeful approaches to colour.
